Why are clothes at outlets so cheap??

If you’ve ever wondered, here are some explanations:

They typically make different lines of clothing for the outlets (like the outlet mall) which are cheaper to manufacture.  If it was a liquidation outlet, they just want to get rid of inventory.

it depends on the store but most sell one, two or three season old items. Some of it is definitely “irregular” stock and some appear to be no different than regular stores, i.e. Old Navy. But if you are a regular shopper, you can definitely trace the path from retail to outlet.
